Calculates token refresh rate, server load from refresh requests, and the latency added by token rotation in a CLI tool and script development context. Proactive token refresh (before expiry) prevents API errors from expired tokens — refreshing when TTL drops below 50% trades slightly more refresh requests for better UX.
