cs.qubit-decoherence-fidelity Calculator
Calculates quantum circuit fidelity from individual qubit T1/T2 coherence times and gate count, estimating probability of error-free execution. Current NISQ devices with T1 ~ 100μs and gate times ~ 50ns allow about 2,000 gate operations before decoherence dominates.
Inputs
T1 Us
Duration of the process. Make sure units match the rate inputs (seconds, minutes, or hours).
T2 Us
Duration of the process. Make sure units match the rate inputs (seconds, minutes, or hours).
Gate Time Ns
Duration of the process. Make sure units match the rate inputs (seconds, minutes, or hours).
Num Gates
Count of items or occurrences.
Results
circuit fidelity (estimate)
The value at the specified point or condition.
T1 survival probability
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
T2 survival probability
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
circuit duration (µs)
Weighted average time to receive the bond's cash flows (years). Also a price sensitivity measure: duration of 7 means a 1% rise in yields drops the bond price ~7%.
gate error rate estimate
Fraction of requests or operations that result in an error. Above 1% is typically considered degraded; above 5% is an incident.
IBM Eagle processor
