Calculates jitter buffer size and introduced delay from network jitter measurements in a SDK and library engineering context. Jitter buffers introduce 1–3× the jitter as delay to smooth playback — for VoIP, jitter above 50ms causes noticeable audio degradation.

packets buffered
Number of packets held in the buffer queue awaiting transmission. High buffer occupancy increases latency (bufferbloat).
buffer duration
Weighted average time to receive the bond's cash flows (years). Also a price sensitivity measure: duration of 7 means a 1% rise in yields drops the bond price ~7%.
