dev.sdk-rpo-target Calculator
Calculates the data backup frequency needed to meet a Recovery Point Objective (RPO) from transaction rate and data loss tolerance in a SDK and library engineering context. RPO defines maximum acceptable data loss — a 1-hour RPO requires backup or replication every hour. WAL shipping can achieve RPO of seconds for databases.
Inputs
Rpo
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
Change
Amount per unit of time or per unit quantity. Check the denominator before interpreting.
Bw
Horizontal extent perpendicular to the length.
Results
backups/day
Number of backups taken per day. More frequent backups reduce the recovery point objective (RPO) -- the maximum data loss if a failure occurs.
max data loss
The decrease or degradation from the baseline.
backup duration
Weighted average time to receive the bond's cash flows (years). Also a price sensitivity measure: duration of 7 means a 1% rise in yields drops the bond price ~7%.
data at risk
Overall risk level based on the computed score or classification. Higher risk may call for mitigating actions or additional review.
