Calculates cutting force, thrust force, and power for a turning operation from depth of cut, feed rate, and specific cutting energy. Specific cutting energy (u) in turning varies from 0.5 W·s/mm³ for free-machining aluminium to 4.0 W·s/mm³ for stainless steel.
