health.sepsis-qsofa Calculator
Calculates qSOFA (quick SOFA) score from mental status, respiratory rate, and systolic BP, and classifies sepsis likelihood. qSOFA ≥2 in a patient with suspected infection is 70% sensitive for organ dysfunction — warrants immediate blood cultures and lactate measurement.
Inputs
Respiratory Rate
Amount per unit of time or per unit quantity. Check the denominator before interpreting.
Systolic Bp Mmhg
The top blood pressure number — pressure during a heartbeat. Normal: below 120 mmHg. Stage 1 hypertension: 130–139.
Altered Mentation
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
Results
qSOFA score (0-3)
A numerical rating from the scoring model in use.
risk stratification
Overall risk level based on the computed score or classification. Higher risk may call for mitigating actions or additional review.
respiratory rate criterion
The value at the specified point or condition.
BP criterion
Sample size or count used in the calculation.
mentation criterion
The value at the specified point or condition.
qSOFA ≥ 2
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
