Estimates VO₂max from a 12-minute Cooper test result (distance covered) or a 1.5-mile run time, and classifies fitness level by age and sex. VO₂max is the gold standard measure of aerobic capacity — highly trained endurance athletes exceed 70 mL/kg/min.
