music.reverb-rt60 Calculator
Calculates reverberation time (RT60) using the Sabine and Eyring formulas from room volume and total acoustic absorption, and recommends treatment area. RT60 below 0.3s is very dry (podcasting studio); 0.5–1.0s suits music; above 2s is typically a concert hall.
Inputs
Room Volume M3
Three-dimensional space occupied (m³ or L). 1 m³ = 1,000 L.
Absorption Area M2
Two-dimensional surface extent (m²). For complex shapes, break into simpler sub-shapes and sum.
Air Absorption Pct
A multiplier applied in the calculation.
Results
RT60 (seconds)
Sample size or count used in the calculation.
