sci.absorption-kremser-equation Calculator
Calculates the theoretical number of equilibrium stages for gas absorption or liquid extraction using the Kremser equation: N = log[(y₁−mx₀)/(y₂−mx₀)(1−A)+A]/log(1/A), where A = L/(mV) is the absorption factor. A > 1 is required for feasible absorption — A ≈ 1.5 is typical for economical design.

Results
theoretical stages N (Kremser)
The phase or stage in the progression determined by the computed value.
absorption factor A = L/(mG)
A dimensionless multiplier applied in the calculation.
recovery efficiency
Useful output divided by total input, as a percentage. True 100% efficiency is impossible — losses appear as heat. LEDs: 30–50%. Electric motors: 85–97%. Switching supplies: 85–95%.
Kremser equation: N = log[(yin−mx_in)/(yout−mx_in)·(1−1/A)+1/A]/log(A)
The value at the specified point or condition.
absorption factor recommendation
Suggested action or value based on the computed results and applicable best-practice guidelines.
