Calculates k_eff and criticality from the four-factor formula, including leakage by multiplying by non-leakage probabilities: k_eff = k∞ × P_NL. At criticality k_eff = 1 — typical commercial PWR has k∞ = 1.2 at beginning of life, so leakage must remove 17% of neutrons to maintain criticality.
