sci.pulse-oximetry-SpO2-Beer-Lambert Calculator
Calculates oxygen saturation SpO₂ from the ratio of pulsatile AC to DC components at 660 nm (red) and 940 nm (IR) using a calibration look-up table. SpO₂ = 99% corresponds to nearly complete haemoglobin saturation — the sigmoidal oxygen dissociation curve means SpO₂ drops steeply below PaO₂ of 60 mmHg.
Inputs
R Ratio
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
Ir Ac Mv
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
Ir Dc Mv
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
Red Ac Mv

Results
SpO₂ estimate (%)
The value at the specified point or condition.
R ratio (Red:IR modulation)
The proportional relationship between two quantities.
perfusion index PI (%)
A normalised score comparing the result to a reference baseline.
