sci.thermocouple-Seebeck-EMF Calculator
Calculates thermocouple EMF from Seebeck coefficient and temperature difference: V = S × ΔT, and converts measured EMF to temperature using NIST polynomial tables. Type K thermocouple (Ni-Cr/Ni-Al): S ≈ 41 µV/°C at 25 °C — range −200 to +1,260 °C; accuracy ±2.2 °C or 0.75%, whichever is larger.
Inputs
T Hot C
Thermal state of the substance. Check whether the formula needs Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Kelvin (K = °C + 273.15).
T Cold C
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
S Uv K
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
Results
thermocouple EMF (mV)
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
temperature difference ΔT (°C)
The arithmetic difference between the two values.
equivalent ADC counts at 12-bit / 10mV FS
Total number of items or occurrences.
V = S·ΔT
Reference formula or conversion factor shown for context.
thermocouple types (S at 25°C)
The classification or type assigned based on the inputs.
